Tōdai-ji Temple in Nara, Japan is one of the country's most significant and historically rich Buddhist temples. Tōdai-ji Temple stands as a symbol of ancient Japanese architecture and spirituality. The temple is home to the Great Buddha Hall (Daibutsuden), one of the largest wooden structures in the world, housing a colossal bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana, known as Daibutsu.
